What can you learn when it comes to snowshoeing? Well, actually more than you think. Come find out for yourself at Snowshoeing 101: The Basics. In this 101 class the first part is spent indoors learning about the proper sizing and fitting of snowshoes. Once everybody Gear’s Up you move outside for the real fun. It is amazing what a good workout snowshoeing is, and you can really turbo boost your workout by using poles. The fundamental, easy to learn techniques taught in 101 are getting up from a fall, selecting the proper stride for hiking, turning around, and stamping. As we progress through our hike you will be introduced to taking turns and the proper way to break a trail. The class finishes up back inside for an open forum on all things snowshoeing.
